About Us

Nashville Cat Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing cats and kittens from high-kill shelters and off the streets and placing them in loving, permanent homes. All cats and kittens that come through our program receive superb veterinary care before they are adopted out to the public. Each Nashville Cat Rescue cat or kitten is, at minimum, tested for FIV/FeLV, spayed or neutered, de-wormed, and given flea preventative and up-to-date on vaccinations appropriate for their age.

NCR does not have a facility; rather, we operate through a network of foster homes. Our adoptable cats and kittens are showcased at PetSmart locations in 100 Oaks, Cool Springs, and Hermitage as well as Pet Supermarket locations in Bellevue, Brentwood, Cool Springs, and Donelson. Cats can also be adopted on our Petfinder page.

In August 2014, NCR launched a Mobile Adoption Center and Transport Unit. This vehicle is used to transport cats and kittens to adoption events, provide medical care and shelter for NCR cats, and travel to humane treatment education programs at local schools.

If you are interested in being a foster parent to a homeless cat or kitten, please download and fill out our foster application. NCR will provide foster homes with food, litter, and veterinary care for all NCR cats. All you have to provide is the love and attention our cats and kittens deserve. We have placed over 7,000 formerly abandoned/neglected or facing euthanasia cats since our inception in October of 2005.
